the staff were incredibly lovely, helpful, and friendly but not pushy. the efforts to increase biodiversity and attract wildlife were absolutely gorgeous. the kitchen, although sometimes a bit small, was very good. the area surrounding the hotel was packed full of beautiful places to explore. We also loved the local pub, which was incredibly friendly too. the peace and quiet, clean beds, and friendly staff made our stay even more enjoyable. the view of the mountains surrounding the hotel was breathtaking, and we loved waking up to the sound of birds and sheep. Plus, it was only a half an hour drive to Wast Water lake, one of the most beautiful lakes we've ever seen.
Our experience was wonderful and we wish we could have stayed longer. Cons: Absolutely nothing!

I spent a peaceful Easter weekend in the middle of nowhere, and it was exactly what I needed to escape the city. the views were incredible, surrounded by endless greenery. Plus, there were plenty of hiking trails to explore. the staff was friendly and welcoming, making me feel at home. I appreciated the fully equipped kitchen that allowed me to prepare my own meals.
The internet connection was non-existent, which made it difficult to communicate with my family and to plan my days. the shared room was quite small and not very comfortable.

Nestled in a remote, picturesque valley, this hostel offers a calm and serene atmosphere perfect for a relaxing getaway. the surrounding Lake District offers ample opportunity for outdoor activities. the spotlessly clean rooms are spacious and comfortable. the helpful staff and beautiful outdoor seating area are added bonuses.
The common areas of the hostel lacked character and did not foster a communal atmosphere, making it less ideal for those hoping to socialize.

I was really surprised by my recent stay at the YHA. The location was fine, surrounded by beautiful grounds and amazing views. The staff were friendly and cute, making me feel right at home. The shared bathrooms and bunk rooms were clean and well-maintained. I particularly liked the convenient code system for the rooms, eliminating the need for carrying around a key. Despite some minor inconveniences such as limited plugs in the dorm room, I found the YHA to be great value for money. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice stay in the area.
